Year over Year · Overview
The dashboard pulls Search Console and Analytics data at the same time. We update the filters to match the project’s goals and build new screens for each type of conversion step.
We build screens with filters Google’s own interface doesn’t offer. We track your queries separately in the top 3, 4–10, 10–20 and 20+ position groups.
We group keywords into clusters and look at the traffic a project gets from each cluster as a whole. We can compare an online store’s bag and shoe clusters on one screen, by search intent, against the previous period; that is a more useful way to measure success.
To report organic growth honestly, we split traffic into branded and non-branded searches. We analyze non-branded traffic separately; that is where the effect of SEO work shows most clearly.
All these filters show the losses too: not every one of the 25 screens shows green. The same screens reveal the swings caused by algorithm updates, and our recovery work starts there.
We track every keyword one by one: impressions, clicks, CTR and position on the same row. Where a keyword moves up but clicks don’t follow, we start work on the title and description.
We keep the city the traffic comes from on a separate screen. For brands with physical stores, the city breakdown decides where the budget and content go.
We compare with the same period last year: is it seasonality or real growth? A screen that looks good against the previous 90 days may be standing still against last year.

Frequently asked questions.
Why choose markention?
We make the same promise in search and in advertising: SEO, advertising and organic marketing run from one team, so the channels don’t pull against each other. Every project has one mentor and two specialists; because we keep our project count limited, ownership is clear and attention isn’t split. We don’t hide what we do: your Data Studio dashboard is open 24/7, losses included.
How do the meetings work?
Every two weeks we hold a meeting with your mentor and two specialists. The meeting is recorded; decisions become tasks and are tracked in our CRM.
Why do you have a project limit?
We keep new project intake limited so that every project gets the care it deserves. One project equals about 20 hours of service.
How does markention calculate the project limit?
We take 35% of the operation’s maximum working hours and divide it by our average proposal of 20 hours. We are happy to share this: on agreements based on 20 hours, we work about 38 hours on average at no extra cost. To organize effort around goals and needs, we plan 65% of our maximum hours for market research and additional work.
How do I become visible in AI?
We check how your brand appears in AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity answers and add the questions left unanswered to your content plan. One day each month is set aside for this scan alone, and the findings are in your report.
What do we see in the reports?
Your Data Studio dashboard is open 24/7: 25 screens and 310 distinct data types, pulling Search Console and Analytics data at the same time. The overview shows clicks, impressions, CTR and average position; position groups break down the top 3, 4–10, 10–20 and 20+; focus clusters show the traffic of each keyword cluster; the brand split separates branded and non-branded searches; keyword depth shows each query’s position movement; the city breakdown shows where the traffic comes from; and year over year compares the same period last year. Losses are on the same dashboard: not every screen shows green, and you can see the pages that dropped there too.
Who will work on my project?
Cihat Murat Yüksel leads your project, setting the direction and priorities with the support of the specialist team. The specialists do the work; at our meeting every two weeks, we are all at the table.
How many hours a month do clients usually choose?
A project equals about 20 hours of service on average. The working hours are agreed together in the first meeting, based on your goals and scope.
Can we work on a one-off basis?
Yes. You can buy a consulting hour (TRY 3,250) or one-off work with a scope defined in writing up front by credit card; no need to wait for a proposal.
How do we start working together?
Pick a day and time that suits you on the calendar, tell us your website and what you’d like to discuss; we send the invitation with a Google Meet link to your email. We come to the meeting having studied your brand: by the end of the 45 minutes we will have discussed what to do and in what order. If our new project limit allows, we agree the scope and monthly hours together and get started.
